Christmas Party Arrives

The Christmas Party for 2009 is here and it’s really great. The decorations this year are awesome and it’s really fun and festive on the island.

The free item this year is once again the Santa Hat. You can get it in the ski village in a big green box. It’s too bad that they’re doing the same free item as last year.

Almost all the outdoor places and a lot of the indoor places in Club Penguin are decorated for the Christmas Party. SecretPenguin has a great Club Penguin Christmas Party 2009 guide on his site with lots of screenshots so I’m not going to bother to copy everything he already did. But here are some of my favorite parts of the party:

• The awesome huge Christmas Tree in the Forest
• The big Santa chair in the book room
• Santa’s Workshop and Sleigh Ride in the Night Club (upstairs)

Oh and don’t forget there’s a new pin. It’s a Snowman Pin and you can find it up in the attic of the Ski Lodge.

Last Day for Christmas Bell Pin

Oooh, don’t forget that today is the last day that you can get the Christmas Bell Pin. This pin is hidden in the forest over on the right side. There will be a new pin tomorrow and the Christmas Bell pin will go away. Like all pins, it goes away forever. So go grab it now before the Christmas Party starts and a new pin is hidden somewhere.

All the pins for the past few weeks have had a winter theme which kind of makes sense I think. They were:

Getting Ready for Christmas

The Club Penguin Christmas Party begins tomorrow, December 18. The big event I think will be the sleigh ride for members. You can see the sleigh under construction on the second floor of the Night Club.

There’s also something about using the sleigh to help deliver presents so maybe it’s a new mini-game. I guess we’ll find out really soon!

Rockhopper Here for Coins for Change

Rockhopper, everyone’s favorite Pirate Penguin, is back on Club Penguin in time for the holidays. His ship sailed in this weekend and it’s all decked out in holiday cheer. Rockhopper arrived to help celebrate the launch of the third annual Coins for Change event. You can see his ship parked over at the beach. This screenshot is from the home page of Club Penguin

Whenever Rockhopper shows up to Club Penguin, which is about every three months, he brings some cool new stuff. This time, he brought a few things for members, including a special Coins for Change collection station. You can buy this and place it in your own igloo so that all your friends can donate coins when they visit. There’s also a free item for non-members. It’s a Coins for Change player background card.

Not a very exciting item for non-members. Last year he gave out a red sailor’s cap.

Rockhopper is moving quickly from server to server. You can hang out on one of the popular servers to meet him or use a good Rockhopper Tracker.

Card Jitsu Fire

Hey, the new Card-Jitsu Fire game just became available in the Fire Dojo. You have to be a member to be able to play and you must already be a ninja from the regular card-jitsu game.

It’s a lot of fun but I’m still trying to figure it all out. You play up to three other players at once and you move around a board with the different card jitsu symbols on it. It seems like the basic idea is to play the highest cards you have.

When you finish a level you get items for the Fire Suit that you see Sensei wearing. It looks really cool!

Club Penguin 4th Anniversary Pin

Hey everyone, I found the newest collectible pin on Club Penguin. No big surprise but it’s called the 4th Anniversary Pin and it’s a cake. You will see it way down in the boiler room on the left side.

I think everyone knows that the 4th anniversary of Club Penguin is this Saturday and they’re having a huge party to celebrate. It is one day only and it the party is good every year. See you there!

Club Penguin storm clouds

Many of the different areas in Club Penguin show the big storm clouds that are forming. You can see them covering the island from the iceberg and you can spot them from the Dojo still too. But my favorite view is from the top of the ski hill where you are above the clouds. That’s cool!

Sensei and Scavenger Hunt

I met Sensei today. Thanks SecretPenguin for the tracker. I also finished up the scavenger hunt and got the Fire Pin. It was pretty easy to do and only took a few minutes. I just followed all the clues and found the different items with no problem at all.

I wish they gave out something better than a pin but at least it was a free item and you didn’t have to be a member to get it. I think today is the final day of the scavenger hunt so go do it now if you haven’t done it yet.

Sensei leaves after today too I think. So today is your last chance to find him. He’s always either in the Dojo or in the secret ninja hideout. You can only get in there if you’re already a ninja.

Sand Castle Pin and Underwater Adventure Play

Hey sorry I know this is kind of late but the latest pin in Club Penguin is the Sand Castle pin. It is inside the Mine on the cave wall in the back.

The pin celebrates the Underwater Adventure Play in Club Penguin which just started this week. The new play is kind of cool so go check it out at the stage. Finally we have a new play!

Club Penguin Toy Sailboat Pin

The new pin is hidden inside the coffee shop. It’s a big toy sailboat and you will see it on the red couch in the back. It’s really easy to spot. You can’t miss it!
